The Tawa reservoir with it’s backwaters, which stretches for more than 220 sq km of area engulfs the river Tawa, Denwa, Sonbhadra, Malini and Koti.
This has gradually created a huge wetland and has eventually developed into a year round as well as seasonal primary habitat for a larger population of migratory birds, apart from the fresh water marsh crocodiles and others.
The Madhai to Tawa speed boat ride can be done vice versa too.
This is a 2 hr long ride which takes you across many small islands while you travel by the side of the river.
An excellent opportunity to witness wildlife, marine bio diversity & birds, you can see small tribal villages as you travel across.
A high tea can be planned for you at Tawa.
